Editing Services

I am currently offering editing, proofreading, blurb, and coaching services to indie authors. Right now, I will only be accepting contemporary romance, romantic comedies, and women’s lit books for editing. Contact me for more information, but don’t wait! I have limited spots, and they fill quickly!

Allie Samberts – Editing Services

I have close to 20 years of experience as a high school English teacher helping writers develop their ideas, correct their grammar, and make other important changes to improve their writing. I have also completed several editing courses through the Editorial Freelancers Association for editing fiction and specifically for editing romance.

Because I’m used to working with high school students, you can trust that my comments will be helpful and encouraging. They will also be thorough and clear. This book is your baby! I’m here to help you make it the best it can be.

Contact me for a sample edit and quote today. Be sure to ask about payment plans if you need.

Prices and turnaround times listed are estimates. Please contact me at alliesambertswrites@gmail.com for a sample edit of your first 1,000 words which will include a quote and a proposed timeline. I will not schedule clients without a sample edit so we both will know the scope of the project and whether or not I am a good fit.

A $100 deposit is due at time of booking/contract signing. Half of the total cost minus the deposit is due at the time the manuscript is submitted. The remainder is due upon delivery of the completed manuscript. Invoices must be paid within a week of receipt. Late payments will incur a fee.
