It’s the last day before spring break. Yesterday, I had to leave school early to pick up a sick kiddo, and then spent an hour at urgent care. The week before that, I was home sick, certain I had strep (I didn’t). It’s a full moon on Sunday.

Ya girl is tired.

But she’s also brimming with good news and updates. So we’re skipping the thoughts today and moving right along to updates, because I really want to share some stuff.

But first…

My hazelnut syrup FINALLY ARRIVED and, y’all, it is glorious. It. Is. So. Good. Hot, cold, it doesn’t matter. The flavor is subtle and nutty and just enough sweet to dress up my coffee exactly the way I like it. This one might be my favorite flavor, and I’m not even kidding.

But I have been told by my enabler (MEGAN) that I need to buy lavender flavor, too, now. For research.

The research on this book that is already finished is getting pretty expensive…

Speaking of books that are already finished I am still being persuaded to buy research coffee for, Megan is working her way through Common Grounds. She promises I will get round two of unhinged editor comments, so look for that reel sometime in the very near future. (Round 1 is here, and that was a lot of fun to make!) Then, I get another crack at it before formatting and finalizing the paperback wrap for the cover. It’s getting real, y’all!

I have some AMAZING character art from Lorissa, and she’s working on chapter heading images, too! I’m pulling out all the stops for this one. She even designed a logo for the coffee shop in the book. And yes, there will be merch. And swag. And PRINTS. Gah, I’m so excited about all of it. But I can’t reveal it yet. STAY TUNED.

And maybe most exciting of all, is that Tantor has purchased the rights for the Common Grounds audiobook! I’m thrilled they bought it before it’s even out. I got my first Publishers Marketplace deal report, and an advance, which is so thrilling.
